Random Pictures

Every now and then you just have to have a post about a lot of random things that don't fit into a category by itself but the pictures are too cute not to share.  Here is that post.  :)

Eli in Bible class.  Soooo sweet.

Eli LOVES his Grandpa!  Loves to jump all over him...

And he LOVES the pantry.  I don't get it, but he just loves to play in there.

Making rainbow pancakes one Saturday morning.  Just because.  And it was LONNIE'S idea.  I love him for the little things like that.

Ethan is absolutely OBSESSED with drawing lately.  If he's not building with his blocks, he's sitting at the table with markers, paper, glue, and scissors, making a masterpiece.  This one is his take on a Razorback.

Reading!  Ethan has learned to read in the last couple of weeks.  He showed a lot of interest in it this summer, so we worked on a few sight words, but it kind of died down once school started.  Then he showed interest again about a month ago, so I've been bringing home books from school for him to read.  It's amazing how fast he caught on.  He's reading books that my first graders started on at the beginning of the year.

One of Ethan's favorite things: building and playing with Grandpa.

Leaf Raking Day for church:

Always helping Daddy with yardwork:

Eli's first homework assignment. He had to make a collage of his family.

More hard work!
Ethan helping Uncle Shad and Daddy with Christmas lights:
The best Christmas tradition: putting up the tree while watching Elf.

Random hanging out in a cabinet:

Carving Jack-o-lanterns

I'm not sure why, but we've never carved pumpkins with the boys before.  They both loved it, so it definitely is going to be a new tradition.  Ethan loved drawing his own face for his pumpkin, since he is OBSESSED with drawing lately, and Eli and I worked together to draw his face.  I love watching the excitement on the boys' faces when they saw what was inside.

Trick or Treating

The kids were not really all that into trick or treating this year.  We pretty much drove around to our families houses, then went to 3 houses on our street, then went home!  The boys enjoyed handing out candy to the few trick or treaters we got at our house.

And I got to dress up at school!  Can you guess our costume?

(Rock, paper, scissors, in case you couldn't figure it out)

At the Grubbs...

At Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Judy's...

At Grandma and Grandpa Willis'...

At Uncle Dustin's, with Uncle Shad stopping by...
 In our own neighborhood...

Happy Halloween!

Trunk or Treat

We started our Halloween Festivities with Trunk or Treat at our church.  Eli made a VERY cute Thomas the Train.  Ethan had a very specific idea of what he wanted to be for Halloween: SpiderBat.  He was adamant that if he couldn't be SpiderBat, then he wasn't doing Halloween.  Well, okay then!  Major attitude already.  But he was creative and made his own costume, so we couldn't fight that.  (In case you're wondering, SpiderBat is the body of Spiderman with the mask and belt of Batman.)

Keira is the cutest clown I've ever seen!
And Caden had a totally rockin' Two Face costume...

We were all very into superheroes, as you can see...

Surprise, surprise...Ethan found a tree to climb!  He should have been a monkey for Halloween!
Gotta love Uncle Dustin and his cool toys...

Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze

Our Life Group went to the pumpkin patch a few weeks ago and had a great time as always!

I just had to include this picture...what in the world???  Popeye?
