Mommy Time

Sadly, there are not many pictures of me and the boys because I'm usually the one taking the pictures.  I've got to get better about making Lonnie take pictures.

We read A LOT these days.  Ethan has become quite the reader.  He LOVES Little Critter books and can read a lot of them by himself, or with just a little help.  I just BEAM with pride as I listen to him read.  It amazes me every time.

I know this is silly...a picture of Ethan and I doing laundry.  BUT, this has become a tradition I enjoy, so I want to remember it.  When it's time to fold the boys' laundry, I dump it out on Ethan's bed, and he helps me sort it out, fold it, and put it away.  Some days he's happy to do it, some days he's not, but I like teaching him how to take care of his clothes!

SNOW!!!!

We got one really good snowfall this winter.  (but NO snow day!!!!!!  Grrrrr...)
The boys were a little under the weather, so instead of going out to play in it, Lonnie brought the snow IN to the boys.  They loved it!

Lonnie and his Boys

Lonnie is just the best Daddy to our boys.  He teaches them so much of what they need to be successful in life... using tools, playing sports, being courteous, obeying God, being respectful, how to build, and how to HAVE FUN!  (among many other things...)

New Year's Eve (kind of)

Well, I've waited so long to blog that now I can hardly remember the details.  But we had to cancel our New Year's Eve party because one of the boys was sick, and we rescheduled it for the following weekend.  We were dorks and recorded the ball drop, then watched it with everyone, along with sparkling grape juice and the midnight kiss, which actually happened more like 8 or 9.  The joys of having young children!

It was almost impossible to get a picture of everyone, but this one includes just about everyone.  Oh yeah, minus all the guys, who were upstairs watching some sporting event.

Happy 2013!!!!  (three months late...)

Post Christmas Fun

We've had a TON of fun playing with the boys' new toys.  Ethan has become really interested in Legos, and is already wanting to get more for his birthday.  (Anyone have any they want to sell???  Legos are not cheap!!!)  He so meticulously studies the picture in the manual and figures out  how to make it.  Sometimes he needs help and sometimes he doesn't, but I kind of like it when he does need help, because he always says, "Mommy, I love building with you!"  Awwww...

Ummm...is he not the cutest elf ever???

This one is not so Christmas related, but Eli has become a streaker!  He strips down when he goes potty or when he's supposed to be sleeping, and then runs around naked.  It's pretty funny.

Christmas all the way from Atlanta...

Basketball

The Thursday before Christmas, we bundled up and headed to Fayetteville for a Razorback game.  Fortunately, they usually offer a game around Christmas break that is much cheaper than the regular games, so we try to take the kids to it.  The boys loved it, and it was some great family time!  We had a great Lamp and Grubb mix.  :)
